Alice Martin (Lee Meriwether), a former musical headliner, now lives alone and forgotten in a house hidden away just below the Hollywood sign. She remembers a past love (Susan Blakely) as she searches for meaning in her golden years. While mentoring a young aspiring singer (Leigh Ann Larkin), past memories become entwined with the present as Alice comes to realize that what she thought was lost is only dormant, awaiting a new spark.

Corey's overprotective mother takes a weekend trip and leaves her incompetent brother Ricky in charge. Within minutes of Uncle Ricky's arrival, he offends the neighbors and picks up a sexy hitchhiker who robs the house. Desperate to make money to replace his mother's stolen necklace and in hopes of finally getting laid, Corey reluctantly agrees to throw a house party. In a hilarious turn of events, things quickly go from bad to worse.

A gang of jewel thieves rob a house which has just become empty following the recent death of it's rich lady owner. The robbery is not a complete success and one of the gang hides the jewels in the house as he's about to be captured. Later the house is put up for sale and events lead the estate agent to conclude that the jewels may still be there.
